Geometry vs. Topology in FormZ
Modifying triangulated geometry in FormZ can sometimes be tricky. in some cases the geometry is simple and easy to augment. sometimes formZ will recognize a single object as complicated as a house as a single pieces of triangulated geometry. i have found that you can use the face select tool to pick single triangles and then hit delete and then toggle over to the delete topology button to only delete the selected triangle. you can then break down the model to modify where necessary and then stitch the geometry back up to continue with 3d printing. if you select the triangle and choose the delete geometry function than it may delete a great deal more than you wanted it to.

Humbly disagree
Deleting Topology can and will delete all connections to your chosen geometry while deleting geometry will "fold" the remaining geometry. Case and point for geometry over topology; point editing terrain models. Select a point in a terrain and delete the geometry and you are good to go, while deleting the topology will create a degenerate surface solid.
