stl file CTL

Hi
i have used cadspan to try and create an STL file from a Sketchup model to use on our router.
the file was processed but it created it as a certificate trust list file that does not seem to be anything to do with CAD CAM
is there an issue of the file extension stl /ctl?

anyway around this
